The procedure for entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan
To enter the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign citizens need a visa depending on the purpose of the trip and the duration of their stay.
A visa is not required for citizens of those countries with which the Republic of Kazakhstan has concluded separate bilateral agreements on mutual visa-free travel.

The Republic of Kazakhstan is a member state of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), in the territory of which uniform veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) requirements are applied to goods subject to veterinary control (supervision) approved by the Resolution of the Customs Union Commission dated June 18, 2010 № 317 (hereinafter referred to as the Resolution).
According to paragraph 3.7. of the Resolution regulated goods during import, export, transit, as well as when moving within the Union from the territory of one Member State to the territory of another Member State must be accompanied by veterinary certificates during the entire time of transportation. When importing regulated goods from the EAEU member states, they are accompanied by veterinary certificates of the form approved by the Resolution of the Customs Union Commission dated November 18, 2010 № 455 "On draft documents in the field of application of veterinary measures of the Customs Union". Import of regulated goods from third countries into the customs territory of the Union is possible if the goods are accompanied by veterinary certificates, the forms of which correspond to the forms of Unified Veterinary Certificates for regulated goods imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union from third countries, approved by the Resolution of the Customs Union Commission dated April 7, 2011 № 607.
Also, according to paragraph 6.1. of the Resolution, import of regulated goods from third countries into the customs territory of the Union is carried out in the presence of an import permit issued in accordance with the Rules for Issuing Permits for Export, Import and Transit of Transported goods, taking into account the assessment of the epizootic situation in the relevant territory, approved by Order № 16-04/647of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 9, 2014.
