Today, at the Government House of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the 5th World Nomad Games and Halyk Bank.

The cooperation agreement was signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the 5th World Nomad Games Roman Sklyar, and Chairman of the Board of Halyk Bank Umut Shayakhmetova. The signing ceremony was also attended by the Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Serik Zharasbayev and the head of the Directorate for the Preparation and Holding of the 5th World Nomad Games Nayil Nurov.

This agreement not only emphasizes the status of the upcoming event but also strengthens partnerships between the state and business. As a general partner, Halyk will provide significant support in the organization and conduct of the Games, which will be held from September 8 to 13, 2024 in Astana.

In his speech, Roman Vasilyevich Sklyar emphasized that Kazakhstan is historically the custodian of the original nomadic culture: “The head of state, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, called the heritage of nomadic civilization one of the main brands of our people. This is what we must demonstrate to the whole world during the Games in Astana.”

According to Roman Vasilyevich Sklyar, it is fair that the general partner of the 5th World Nomad Games was the leader of the financial industry of Kazakhstan, that is Halyk Bank. The bank not only provides financial services but also actively supports social projects throughout the republic.

For her part, the head of Halyk Bank, Umut Shayakhmetova, noted that for the bank, supporting such an important country project is both a great honor and a great responsibility. “We are fully aware that holding the 5th World Nomad Games is an important step in shaping the image of our Motherland in the eyes of the world community. This is an international project designed to demonstrate the importance of preserving our common heritage, and common cultural code, a project in which more than a hundred countries are involved. As a bank, we always support what is aimed at the development of the country and the benefit of the people of Kazakhstan.”

Let us remind you that on September 8-13, Astana will host a large-scale sporting event - the 5th World Nomad Games, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from 85 countries. Competitions will be held in 21 sports.
