South Korea is preparing to send a delegation to the upcoming V World Nomad Games, which will be held in Astana. It is planned that the delegation will consist of 14 people.

Korean wrestling athlete Ssireum will head to Astana to take part in the Kazaksha Kures tournament. Their preparation is carried out by a representative of the Kazakhstan Association of Kazaksha Kures.

According to athletes, the differences between Korean and Kazakh wrestling are insignificant. Koreans compete on the sand and without jackets, and weight categories in Ssireum start from 70 kilograms, while in Kazaksha Kures - from 55.

Almas Bekmuratov, representative of the Kazakh Kures Association in the Republic of Korea, noted: “In South Korea, the selection of athletes for the 55-60-kilogram category will soon begin.”

South Korean athletes are looking forward to showcasing their skills and participating in a prestigious event that promotes sportsmanship and international cooperation.
