REPRESENTATIVES OF THE “GAMES OF THE FUTURE” COMMISSION VISITED KAZAKHSTAN
Minister of Tourism and Sports Yermek Marzhikpayev met with representatives of the international company Phygital International, who arrived in Astana on an inspection visit to assess the holding of the “Games of the Future” in Kazakhstan in 2026.
The international company Phygital International is the copyright holder of the international multi-sport tournament “Future Games”.
“Currently, together with the eSports Federation, we have begun preparatory work for the “Games of the Future”, which we plan to hold in 2026 in the city of Astana. The Ministry will take all necessary measures to ensure a high level of organization of this sports championship in Kazakhstan,” said Yermek Marzhikpayev.
Representatives of Phygital International also visited the Directorate for the preparation and holding of the 5th World Nomad Games. Denis Ustinov, Deputy Head of the Directorate, told the guests about the progress of preparations for the Games and introduced them to the work of the Directorate. Emphasizing the importance of holding the “Future Games” in Kazakhstan, Denis Ustinov invited representatives of Phygital International to the upcoming Nomad Games.
During the visit, representatives of Phygital International will get acquainted with the work of the following facilities: EXPO International Exhibition Center, Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov, Barys Arena Multifunctional Sports Complex, Qazaqstan Athletics Sports Complex, Alau Ice Palace, Olympic Training Center Saryarka Cycling Track, The Astana Arena stadium, as well as visit and evaluate the activities of the main attractions of Astana.
Let us remind you that the inspection visit of Phygital International to Astana will be carried out from May 15 to May 18, 2024. And on October 1, 2024, the winning city of the Games in 2026 will be announced.
At the opening ceremony of the Future Games held at the beginning of the year in Kazan (Russian Federation), Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed holding futuristic competitions in Kazakhstan.
