KAZAKHSTAN ATHLETES CONCLUDE KURASH COMPETITIONS WITH 13 MEDALS.

The kurash competitions, part of the V World Nomad Games, have concluded. A total of 106 athletes from 27 countries participated in the tournament. According to the press service of the "Center for National and Equestrian Sports," Kazakhstani wrestlers secured 7 medals on the second day of the competition.

Today, seven Kazakhstani athletes advanced to the semifinals, with four making it to the finals. The medal haul includes 4 silver and 3 bronze medals.

  1. Marat Nigmatullayev – Bronze medal (Men's 60 kg weight category)
  2. Yernur Suleymenov – Silver medal (Men's 60 kg weight category)
  3. Aibek Kazakbayev – Silver medal (Men's 66 kg weight category)
  4. Tolganay Abeuova – Silver medal (Women's 57 kg weight category)
  5. Altynai Nurkhanova – Bronze medal (Women's 57 kg weight category)
  6. Nurdin Shaimerden – Silver medal (Men's 73 kg weight category)
  7. Adilet Akhmetgali – Bronze medal (Men's 73 kg weight category)

The silver medals were won by: Yernur Suleymenov (60 kg category), Aibek Kazakbayev (66 kg), Tolganay Abeuova (57 kg), and Nurdin Shaymerden (73 kg). The bronze medals were earned by: Marat Nigmatullayev (60 kg), Altynai Nurkhanova (57 kg), and Adilet Akhmetgali (73 kg).

It should be noted that on the first day of the competition, 6 Kazakhstani athletes reached the semifinals, with three competing in the finals. Overall, the Kazakhstan team won 13 medals in kurash: 1 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze.
