Kazakhstani athletes who will take part in the Tenge Ilu competition at the 5th World Nomad Games have been determined
On August 8, at the Olympic Training Center, the Kazakhstan Tenge Ilu team determined the top three athletes who will defend the honor of the country at the 5th World Nomad Games. The six best athletes of the country took part in the qualifying competitions, which give a direct ticket to the Games. The athletes competed in the styles of "kos kulash", "bes beles" and "zheti kut". Based on the results of the competitions, the country will be represented at the 5th World Nomad Games by: Beknur Serikov in the "bes beles" style, Bakyt Toltai in the "zheti kut" style, and Rakhat Kambarov in the "kos kulash" style.
The composition of the Kazakhstan national team in Tenge ilu at the 5th World Nomad Games is as follows:
- Rakhat Kambarov - born in 2001 in the Turkestan region. Winner of the Grand Prix of the Tenge ilu Federation in 2022, winner of the VI National Sports Festival of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023, winner of the Asian Cup in 2024, champion of Asia in 2024.
- Bakyt Töltai - born on August 12, 1998 in Shymkent, Arys district, Montayty village. Bronze medalist of the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among adults in 2021, winner of the gold and silver medals of the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among adults in 2023, winner of the gold medal of the Asian Championship in 2024.
- Beknur Serikov - originally from the West Kazakhstan region. Champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan among young men in 2018, Champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan among young men in 2020, winner of the Asian Cup in 2023.
Let us remind you that the final training camp in Tenge Ilu before the 5th World Nomad Games will be held from August 27 to September 7 in Astana. Tenge Ilu competitions at the 5th World Nomad Games will be held in Ethnoaul on September 11-13.
It is worth noting that the 5th World Nomad Games will be held on September 8-13. It is expected that about 2,000 participants will take part in the event. 97 sets of medals in 21 sports will be contested at the World Nomad Games in Astana.
