An international training seminar on kokpar has started in Shymkent, with 35 judges from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Russia, Turkey, Hungary, Georgia and Pakistan taking part.

The event is being held with the participation of the First Vice President of the World Kokpar Association Yerkin Abzalov and Deputy Head of the Directorate for the Preparation and Holding of the 5th World Nomad Games Muratbek Kypshakbayev. 

The official part of the seminar was opened by Muratbek Kypshakbayev, who spoke about the preparations for the Games and emphasized the importance of highly qualified refereeing at the competitions.

Yerkin Abzalov introduced the participants to the history and goals of the World Nomad Games. He also noted that during the seminar, judges will improve their qualifications and pass exams. He emphasized the responsibility that falls on judges during the Games and called for fair judging and control over compliance with the kokpar rules.

The seminar program includes general theoretical classes on the general rules, methods, permitted and prohibited techniques of the kokpar sport. The program also includes practical classes. The seminar will last until July 27. Its goal is to improve the professional qualifications of judges and prepare them for the upcoming Games.

At the end of the seminar, after passing the exams, the participants will be awarded international certificates confirming their qualifications. This will give the judges the opportunity to work at the 5th World Nomad Games in kokpar competitions.

It is worth noting that the 5th World Nomad Games will be held from September 8 to 13. It is expected that more than 2,000 participants will take part in the event.
